2013
Johannes Holfeld (Cardiac Surgeon) and Christian Dorfmüller (Physicist and Engineer) decided to develop shockwave therapy for heart regeneration encouraged by remarkable pre-clinical results.
2014
CAST, the Center of Academic Spin-offs Tyrol, an institution of the Medical University of Innsbruck and the government of Tyrol funded the project (applicator for use during open heart surgery)
2015
The team was awarded the Life Science Cluster Award of the Standortagentur Tirol for its development of a cardiac shockwave applicator.

Founding of HeaRT Regeneration Technologies GmbH by the cardiac surgeons Johannes Holfeld, Michael Grimm and physicist Christian Dorfmüller.

Based on a market analysis by the Boston Consulting Group the Tyrolean Business Angel GmbH joined the newly founded company as a lead investor.
2017
HeaRT Regeneration Technologies GmbH receives pre-seed funding from AWS (Austrian Wirtschaftsservice - promotional bank of the Austrian federal government).
2018
HeaRT starts manufacturing of the cardiac shockwave probes. Additional private investors joined the company.

The clinical trial CAST-HF started treating the first human patients directly on the heart at Medical University of Innsbruck, Austria (www.cast-trial.com).

At the end of 2022, we acquired our development partner in Ravensburg, Germany, thus securing one of the crucial areas for our company, the development of our tabletop devices, and bringing it in-house. This acquisition allows us to have more control over the development process, streamline operations, and ultimately enhance the quality of our products.
2023
Q2 We have acquired a new office space to accommodate our growth and also to facilitate the in-house production of our shockwave device. We have successfully transitioned to producing the transducer completely in-house, allowing for greater control over the manufacturing process and ensuring the highest quality of our products.
